Reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge has seen quite a few tough days in his career as a Yankee and his personal life. But little did he know that getting through all the tough days without a tear would not prepare him for one of the biggest days in his life. In the six years that he has played for the New York Yankees, Judge has already achieved quite a lot. But something even bigger was about to come into his life after the 2021 MLB season.

After being in a long relationship with his high school sweetheart, Big Aaron Judge was about to get married to Samantha Bracksieck in December 2021. The slugger was sure of himself that after getting through some big days, he’d be able to swiftly go through his wedding without shedding a tear. But things did not go as planned. 

What did Aaron Judge say about crying?

When the Yankees slugger saw his wife walking down the aisle, his emotions took over. And he was indeed caught in the act by the photographers present at the wedding. Before starting his iconic 2022 season, Judge sat down for an episode of the R2C2 podcast, discussing what led to the waterworks in his dream Hawaii wedding. 

The outfielder had already told his wife, Samantha, their friends, and all the family members that he’d be getting through the day and to the party without a tear in his eyes. But as the moment came when Bracksieck walked to him, something clicked him.

In the podcast’s episode, he said, “When I saw her coming down the aisle, the photographers didn’t have my back; they caught me. They got me, but I couldn’t resist it. You got so many different emotions flowing, it kind of hits you all at once, so it was pretty special.”

With tears of love in his eyes, he married the love of his life, Samantha Bracksieck. The couple had met in high school, but unbeknownst to them, fate had other big plans for them. 

Judge and Bracksieck: a fairytale love story?

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck met each other for the first time in 2010 in high school. At the time, they had dated on and off but went separate ways after graduating.

Then, they met again in 2014 and remained in contact with each other. Things between them did not seem official until 2019 when they made their first public appearance at C.C. Sabathia’s Legacy Gala, which they attended alongside Aaron’s parents. The rumors of their engagement brewed in 2021, and they tied the knot in December of that year.
