“I Couldn’t Imagine Having a Better Partner” – Marc Lore on Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez Amidst Talks on Losing Timberwolves Ownership

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is an inspiration to many. Outside the ballpark, over the years, A-Rod has successfully set up a strong and fruitful business empire. Through A-Rod Corp, which he founded in 1996, Rodriguez has constructed a powerful real estate empire. Moreover, today, he’s the chairman of Presidente Beer and part owner of the NBA team, Minnesota Timberwolves.

A-Rod is also infamously famous for his numerous dating ventures and, all in all, his complicated love life. The most popular amongst them is his engagement and eventually broken engagement with Jennifer Lopez. However, apart from simply losing Jennifer Lopez, the separation is still biting A-Rod.

Markedly, A-Rod and J.Lo started dating in 2017, got engaged in 2019, and called it quits in 2021.

Will Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez be able to save the Timberwolves deal?

 A-Rod is a part owner of the NBA team, Minnesota Timberwolves. In 2021, A-Rod teamed up with Marc Lore to attain 20% ownership of the Timberwolves for a down payment of $250 million each. However, A-Rod couldn’t come up with that kind of money. Now, according to sources, “Lore now has a roughly 13% share in the Timberwolves while A-Rod has amassed a mere 7%.”

At this point, the terms of the deal require A-Rod and Lore to make the next 20% of the payment by the year’s end. The source said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if A-Rod becomes a subservient No. 2 to Lore.” However, Lore diplomatically evaded answering the question and said, “I couldn’t imagine having a better partner. He is one of my best friends,” Lore said Monday. “There is no one else I would rather be partners with than Alex.”

The source also believed that A-Rod’s breakup with J. Lo would play a major role in the minimum negotiation power in the situation. The source said, “A-Rod always made it seem like they were investing as a couple.” Hence, J. Lo’s absence could play a vital role if the deal fell through.

Why did A-Rod & J. Lo break up?

Given their popularity, Alex Rodriguez and J. Lo’s relationship was perpetually under public and media scrutiny. Analogous to that, even their breakup came with multiple rumors, conjectures, and stories. The official reason behind their separation was that “their relationship had run its course.” However, rumors said that it was A-Rod’s infidelity that triggered the split.
