The LA Angeles outfielder has made a lot of sacrifices to become one of the consistent performers in the league. Recently, with a revelation around it, the 11x All-Star has added another chapter to his inspirational career. 

Soda is not on Trout’s drinking list anymore

Addictions are not suitable for anyone as they can affect health. To succeed, it becomes more important for athletes to leave them behind. However, being a complex task, it takes a lot of effort to overcome them literally. But Mike Trout has done it by breaking his soda addiction. The Angels’ star revealed this during a public conversation.

Foul Territory shared a clip of the conversation on Twitter. It read, “@FlavaFraz21 was SHOCKED @MikeTrout broke his soda addiction. He hasn’t had any soda in almost three years!” The revelation from Trout came when the host asked him, “Let’s talk about back in the day your food and drink choice.”

In reply, Trout shared, ” Hey, listen to this now. Even if you don’t believe it. I’m about two and a half three years off of the Soda.” Depicting the change it has brought to his lifestyle, he added,” I can’t even smell it right now. I don’t know.. just stopped drinking it.. mean, all the sugar is bad for your body to get hurt. And I had to make a little change to the diet.” Notably, Trout has benefitted from it.

The player in his early 30s has done well in the recent past. Even though he had a few struggles here and there, his comeback has been exceptional. It reflects in his performances in the ongoing season after his recovery from the poor start. To top it all off, he has been picked for the All-star game for the 11th time.

Mike Trout makes it to the All-Star team again after an eventful season

Mike could not perform at the start of the season, now averaging 0.263. He has scored 53 runs and 17 home runs with an OPS of 0.858 this season. He has also affected the results with a WAR of 2.9. Fans have loved his performances and have voted for him to make it to the All-Star team. The 31-year-old star will make his 11th all-star appearance on July 11, adding more to his illustrious career.
