Although Pujols already confirmed during the start of the 2022 regular season that it will be his last dance, the Cardinals legend has come up with a shocking statement regarding his retirement.
While talking to ESPN, Pujols admitted he can still play for two or three years. But he feels tired. Not to forget that Albert Pujols is already 42-year-old. Putting an end to all the speculation on his career, Pujols finally confirmed that 2022 will be his last season in MLB.
“I can still play two or three more years if I want to. But I’m tired. I’m done. This is it. This is where Albert Pujols’ career ends,” Pujols said via ESPN.

Recently, he also joined the elite club of Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Barry Bonds after smashing his 700th career home run.
