When the team’s play becomes poor, even for a little while, people criticize the team and also its management. That is what happened with the New York Mets.

Mets fan, the stand-up comedian, Jerry Seinfeld, blamed the recent woes of the team on the Timmy Trumpet’s August 31 in-game concert.
What did Seinfeld say about the New York Mets play?
Recently, the New York Mets lost two games against Washington Nationals and one against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Losing against the Pirates made it a hattrick of losses for the Mets.
However, they did turn around the losing spree by winning two games against the Pirates in the last two days. And that with the massive differences of 5-1 and 10-0.
But that did not satisfy the comedian Jerry Seinfeld, and he decided to blame the musician Timmy Trumpet. “I blame that stupid Trumpet performance. Celebrating in season. We haven’t won anything yet. Bad mojo” commented Seinfeld on SNYTV’s Instagram post.
On August 31, musician Timmy Trumpet had an in-game concert which the team’s fans loved and cheered on loudly as well.
Seinfeld compared the Mets’ recent losses to its loss in the World Series match 2000?
New York City’s American and National Leagues teams fought against each other in the World Series 2000 game. It was the Yankees vs the Mets.

Seinfeld commented on the same post, “Same as when Baha Men showed up to play ‘Who Let Dogs Out’ in 2000 WS. Series ended right there.”
According to him, the Mets did not win the World Series Title in 2000 because Baha Men started to celebrate even before the match ended. He compared the world series loss to the recent losses the Mets had in the past few games this season. It is a bit hard to believe Seinfeld on this one, or maybe as a comedian, he was just joking.
