Ever since his MLB debut, Corbin Caroll has taken the world by storm. His quick runs, cunningly stolen bases, and consistent hitting make it hard to believe that this is still his rookie year. The fact that many consider him an NL MVP candidate is mindboggling. But it is true, as many witness his World Series heroics. The D-Backs knew that the slugger’s impact was going to be huge.

Where Does the Corbin Caroll Contract Rank in the Diamondbacks Roster?

On March  11, 2023, Corbin Caroll signed a massive contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Worth $111 million with a $5 million signing bonus, the Snakes had no other option but to sign the superstar making waves in the minors. With such a high contract in a team known for limited expenses, the fans wondered whether he was the highest-paid player on the team or not. As it turns out, he’s not.

The highest salaried active player in the team is Ketel Marte. His $11.6 million is the most lucrative paycheck that Arizona signs right now. And even he received some competition this year. Pitcher Madison Bumgarner had a salary of $23 million at the beginning of the season. Later in April, the team designated him and then released his contract.

Though the AAV of Caroll’s contract is $13.875m per year, the actual payroll salary is usually different. It is the club’s prerogative how it wants to pay the guaranteed amount in the contract. The bigger fact here, however, is that the highest-paid player in Diamondbacks earns less than one-third of Rangers’ Corey Seager ($35.5m). The disparity between the two World Series teams is right here to witness.
