Trout’s celebration of Independence Day didn’t last long
In the first of three games against the Padres, the Angles’ star, Mike Trout, ran into trouble. He had to leave the game in the eighth inning because of a left wrist injury. This happened right after he mis-hit a pitch from Nick Martinez. The discomfort was obvious as he shook his arm right away. With manager Phil Nevin by his side, Trout then left the game.
Regarding the incident, Trout commented, “I just took a swing, and something didn’t feel right. Just waiting on the scan results and hoping for the best. I can’t describe the pain I felt. I never felt it before, ever, before this.” Despite his discomfort, the Angels’ ace remains hopeful that his injury is no more than a sprain and is eager to return to the plate to assist his team.
