The Giants pitcher named Sean Hjelle made his big league debut on Friday. Ever since his debut, the Giants pitcher has become a hot topic in MLB. It’s not that there are no tall pitchers in MLB, but the Giants pitcher is truly a giant in height.

Sean Hjelle made his Major League Baseball debut against the St. Louis Cardinals. Apart from his height saga, the Giants pitcher had a good debut game. The 6-foot-11 recorded his first career strikeout in MLB. Coming to his height, Hjelle tied the record of the tallest pitcher with retired Jon Rauch. Now, Sean Hjelle, along with Jon Rauch, is the tallest pitcher in the history of MLB.

With 6-foot-11, Hjelle is of course the tallest pitcher in the league, but Aaron Judge is not far behind him. The Yankees star’s height is 6-foot-7. When Hjelle made his debut with the Giants, baseball fans reacted crazily. As they could not believe a person with that much height is not playing basketball, but baseball.

Many fans reacted to his height with his team’s name, the San Francisco Giants. Some referred to him as a giant playing for the Giants, while some said that he is playing the wrong sport.

One user even said that the NBA franchise, LA Lakers, needs him. The other one called his record height is more interesting than the game of baseball.

 

Another baseball fan took a hilarious dig at the Houston Astros player Jose Altuve, whose height is 5-foot-6. The fan said that they would like to see Hjelle play against Altuve.

A Twitter user named Marisa suggested Hjelle should get an extra inch in his cleats so that his height will become 7-foot.
