Albert Pujols is probably the most loving player in the entire Major League Baseball. Known for his gentle personality and calm behavior in the ballparks, the Cardinals legend once again proved why baseball fans adore him so much.

Earlier on Friday, Pujols belted two home runs in the same game to complete his 700 career home runs. What is more remarkable is that he did it against statistically the best MLB team in 2022. Yes! With Pujols having a multi-homer game, the Cardinals crushed the Dodgers 11-0 in an offensive masterclass.

As earlier mentioned, apart from being an excellent hitter, Pujols is even a great human being. Per Michael J. Durate of NBC, Pujols was completely okay with the fan intending to have his historic home-run ball.

The Cardinals’ legend even said that if someone caught the home-run ball then it is their souvenir.

Taking to Twitter, ace MLB analyst Ben Verlander also confirmed the same. Verlander also confirmed that the fan who caught the 700th home run ball refused to return the home-run ball at any cost.

“He was approached. Offers were presented. Then left the stadium with the ball. At least for now… He’s holding on to the prized possession,” Verlander tweeted.
