Derek Jeter has always been a charismatic personality throughout his playing days and beyond. He is an influential figure and a role model figure for younger generations. However, there are also those people whose charm impresses Jeter in turn. One such person happens to be a famous talk show host, Hoda Kotb. 

Derek Jeter had a glorious baseball career as a New York Yankees shortstop. He is notably a 14-time All-Star member and five-time World Series champion. His jersey got retired after he bid farewell to the sport. Jeter is also an MLB Hall Of Fame inductee.

Speaking on the show, Jeter said to Hoda, “Let me just say something, Hoda, you’re one of my favorite people. I’m sure you will be in time (pointing at Bobby Bones in the midst). (Continuing to speak with Hoda) But you’re one of my favorite people and let me tell you why. Because you are always smiling. Every time I see you, you’re smiling. You’ve great energy. So anytime I get a chance to come speak with you, I’m all in.”  

Derek Jeter: Post-departure from the ballpark 

Jeter retired from baseball in 2014. His passion for the sport made him join the ownership group of the Miami Marlins in 2017. However, he departed from the administrative role in 2022. Jeter is married to his supermodel wife, Hannah, and they are parents to three daughters.
