They had one goal in mind: to discuss baseball and share insights with one another. An unprecedented and iconic moment between the two reigning MVPs. The Yankees captain opened up on the interaction and expressed his delight at having interacted with Goldschmidt. He recognized the 2022 NL MVP’s greatness and the opportunity to learn from him.

According to The Athletic, Judge said, “He’s one of the best in the game. He’s had a fantastic career so far. When you get to spend some time with a guy like that, see what their approach is, what they think about in certain situations, it’s a special time.” The Yankee superstar was genuinely stoked to meet his fellow 2022 MVP.
