3x All-Star Shohei Ohtani’s dual-threat prowess shows no signs of diminishing. Most recently, the two-way phenom hit the season-leading 30th home run playing against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Although the Angels’ star tried his best, he couldn’t help his team to win against the NL West topper. The Angels lost the first three-game series at their home stadium by 2-6. Despite this brutal loss, Ohtani’s 30th home run became the game’s highlight, garnering admirations with speculations.

Once again, this year, the Japanese phenom is one of the top contenders for AL MVP. Not only this, the LA Angles star has recently matched the Aaron Judge’s historic 2022 record.

In MLB’s 2022 season, Judge hit 62 homers, breaking the record set by legendary Roger Maris, who hit 61 home runs in 1961 wearing pinstripes. And now, it’s not even half of the season, yet Shohei shows no signs of stopping hitting blasters anytime soon. Last night’s big fly was no different, either.

Shohei managed to hit his 30th home run of a length of almost 500 ft. If the Angels’ star remains consistent, he has a good chance of breaking Judge’s record and becoming AL home run king. If the homer-hitting series continues, then Judge’s record might not remain unbroken longer than a year. But this isn’t it.

While dominating on the plate, the two-way phenom also continues to dominate on the mound. In 95.1 innings pitched this season, Shotime has earned 127 strikeouts, bringing him among the top pitchers in the American League.

Baseball fans are sure that Ohtani is taking the title home!

Shohei started this season after the World Baseball Classic win and also made his intentions clear of winning with the Angels. Even if the Angels do not make the playoffs, the chances of Shohei Ohtani becoming the season’s highlight are high. Fortunately for him, his increasing fan base thinks that Ohtani will have hit more homers before the season concludes than Judge did last year.

The comparisons come with a warning for future pitchers of Ohtani!
