“He’s Going Deep for Sure…”: Philadelphia Phillies Star Bryce Harper Hypes Up Fans With Major Throwback Outfit

Playing professional baseball is a long journey. One goes through several stages of development, with high school being one of the most important. It is a stage where a baseball player develops a lot of skills that are important for MLB. Most recently, Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper hyped up fans by wearing a throwback outfit referencing his teenage days. 

The Phillies outfielder has made a record comeback from Tommy John surgery. Furthermore, he has looked decent, if a little rusty in his three games so far. In the Phillies’ most recent contest, he referenced his high school days with an old getup.

For many baseball players, their high school is precious to them because it played a massive role in their development. Most recently, star outfielder Bryce Harper paid homage to his own late teen years by wearing his high school varsity jacket. It was a major throwback moment that had fans excited. Harper attended Las Vegas High School and could be seen wearing their jacket before the Phillies’ most recent game. Talkin’ Baseball shared an image of the star outfielder in his classic getup via Twitter.

They said, “Bryce Harper wearing his High School varsity jacket to tonight’s game 🔥”. Despite the many years that have passed since Harper was in high school, it still fits him well. Furthermore, it is eye-catching too, with a primarily black design and red lettering to go with it.

The reactions to the jacket have been majorly positive. Some fans said he would hit a home run because of the hype jacket.

Other fans complimented the clothing choice.

This was a great way for Harper to draw attention to his school and pay tribute to it. Furthermore, he seems to be shaping up to help the Phillies turn this season around. The team has gotten off to a disastrous start and needs some good results. And as if his jacket wasn’t enough, Harper shocked fans while wearing yet another accessory during a recent game.

Harper wore a cast upon his return

Bryce Harper returned from Tommy John surgery in record time. But his accessory choice left fans surprised. The DH was wearing a full cast on his right arm while playing. This was to protect it from any damage during the game. After Tommy John surgery, players generally wear casts for a month before progressing with rehabilitation. But since Harper has come back so quickly, he is wearing the cast as a precaution and to let it heal some more.
