This 25-year-old prospect wasn’t just invited to spring training to imbibe some veteran wisdom. Rather than strut his stuff, fresh off impressive 2023 campaigns. It’s likely that he could see major league action this year. Credit? His dominant season is across Double-A and Triple-A. Does this mean that the Yankees have found their fit?

“I would think he’s definitely in the mix at some point this year,” pitching coach Matt Blake stated. Not to jinx the Yankees’ confidence, but Injuries are inevitable, and when an opportunity knocks, Warren wants to be ready to take the baton. He’s already drawn a great deal of trust from manager Aaron Boone. He declared, “He’s a starter.”  

These were not the only words of praise that Boone shared about the young prodigy. He appreciated him for his “bread-and-butter” sinker and slider. Nevertheless, enhancing his off speed pitches is what will bring him success against the southpaws. Knowing his areas of improvement, Warren also acknowledges that he’s got something to show. He believes that he can help the team out. Now, that’s some youth energy that the Yankees would love to have. 

Currently, the Yankees seem confident with their bullpen’s potential. Although Boone’s words of confidence in Warren inclines strong toward him being an ace, the young prospect remains open to any role that could help the team. Amid this optimism, another name comes to mind as well.
