Ever since leaving the Houston Astros, Carlos Correa’s baseball life has turned upside down. Carlos Correa has not had a fruitful outing against the Padres. It irked the fans, and they booed him for his performance. Correa responded by accepting the criticism. He said that he would boo himself for his performances. The Twins shortstop also acknowledged that he is not justifying his contract with such performances. FOX Sports: MLB shared on Twitter with a caption, “After a slow start to the season, Carlos Correa understands the frustration coming from Twins fans.”

Correa said, “I’d boo myself, too, with the amount of money I’m making if I’m playing like that and I’m in the stands.” The player justified the criticism but said that he will continue working hard. Carlos Correa shared that his focus is on the things and situations he can control.

“Obviously, it’s acceptable. It’s part of the game, part of sports. Fans want production and fans want a team that’s going to compete out there and win games. It’s to be expected when you play poorly. But at the same time, the work doesn’t stop. I’m going to keep working and keep focusing on the things I can control, and the results will come.” – Correa added.

Fans reacting to Correa’s reaction loved the honesty of the player. Many said that this is a top quote from the player. Many said that he will always be a Mets legend because of his transparency.

Correa has played 33 games this season and has 11 runs to his name at an average of 0.189. He could make only 24 hits during this period and has five home runs. Given that there is a lot still left to play this season, he will look to make a comeback. How soon will it happen? Only time will tell.
