Ever since leaving the Houston Astros, Carlos Correa’s baseball life has turned upside down. Although he did manage to pull off a lucrative contract with the Minnesota Twins, the star shortstop has failed to showcase his worth in the ballparks. And now, when Correa has come forward about his poor form, fans did not show any sympathy to the Twins shortstop.
Recently, the Twins played against the star-studded San Diego Padres, and once again Correa failed to perform on a big occasion for his team. Although the Twins won the 2nd game to even the series, fans did not hesitate to criticize Correa for his poor show.

Correa said, “I’d boo myself, too, with the amount of money I’m making if I’m playing like that and I’m in the stands.” The player justified the criticism but said that he will continue working hard. Carlos Correa shared that his focus is on the things and situations he can control.
“Obviously, it’s acceptable. It’s part of the game, part of sports. Fans want production and fans want a team that’s going to compete out there and win games. It’s to be expected when you play poorly. But at the same time, the work doesn’t stop. I’m going to keep working and keep focusing on the things I can control, and the results will come.” – Correa added.

Correa has played 33 games this season and has 11 runs to his name at an average of 0.189. He could make only 24 hits during this period and has five home runs. Given that there is a lot still left to play this season, he will look to make a comeback. How soon will it happen? Only time will tell.
