There are different ways to let out frustration. Mets baseman Pete Alonso certainly chose a strange way of doing so. Alonso made his debut in the Major Leagues in 2019. In the very same year, he broke the MLB record of most home runs by a rookie. He hit 53 home runs that year, thereby breaking Yankees’ Aaron Judge’s record of 52 homers.

However, recently Alonso’s play has been plummeting, and his frustration over the same can be seen clearly on the field.

Pete Alonso took his frustration out on his bat

Pete’s recent descent has him now on 0-4. Last night the New York Mets fought against the LA Dodgers and lost the game by 3-4. In the seventh inning, Alonso got a flyout.

While walking off the ground, he broke his bat over his knee out of frustration.

Alonso is a bright player having a tough time in the game. And he is pretty frustrated over it as well. Considering that yesterday’s burst out was the second time in a week that Pete broke his bat. A week ago, during a game with the Yankees, he got a strike out on Frankie Montas’ fastball. And that resulted in him breaking his bat over the knee out of frustration.
