“He Had Begged Me…” – Mariah Carey Once Revealed Yankees Legend Derek Jeter Was “Crazy” About Her Even Before They First Met

Mariah Carey and Derek Jeter were two of the biggest names in the late 1990s and sent the masses into a frenzy with rumors of a romantic relationship. While popular personalities cross paths all the time, the worlds of baseball and entertainment are completely different. However, Carey’s manager told her Jeter knew who she was and liked her music.

“My manager knew Derek really wanted to meet me; he had begged me once to sign a photo for “this kid who’s crazy about you” so he could get World Series tickets—an incident I totally forgot about,” the Queen of Christmas writes on page 172.
