Back in September, during the 2022 regular season, the American Family Field in Milwaukee proved to be not-so-family friendly after recent reports emerged about an unwanted visitor in the park, at an unholy hour. Months after the Milwaukee Brewers missed their postseason spot at 0.531 to the Philadelphia Phillies (0.537) by an extremely narrow margin, a report of a theft in the clubhouse of the Brewers’ home stadium came to light.
Back on September 8th, when the Brewers took on the San Francisco Giants at a doubleheader, their clubhouse became victim to a robbery. The accused, who managed to swipe a long list of valuable items, supposedly passed out at the stadium after having ten or more beers. And despite his purportedly hungover condition, he administered the theft of various profitable Brewers memorabilia, which was palpably pointed out by MLB fans, who reacted to this incident with hilarity.

This is how the theft panned out: A man drank too much beer and lost consciousness in the bushes. When he awoke, he promptly entered the clubhouse of a sports team. And stole a variety of valuable items, including team memorabilia and the belongings of individual players.

As reported by ESPN, the strength coach of the Brewers articulated that the “items taken from his office included a laptop, iPods, headphones, a passport and a credit card.”
In addition to that, the thief picked memorabilia including, “an autographed bat, game-used hat. A 45-year-anniversary 1982 signed bat, a replica World Series Ring. And keys to the spring training office.”
How did fans react to this news?
Following this theft, amused MLB fans hilariously reacted to this news. They pointed out the specifics of an iPod being stolen, given its disappearance in the modern-day world. Moreover, some called out their roommate for snitching, while others questioned the security on the ground. Correspondingly, some other fans spoke about the lack of memorabilia in the Brewers clubhouse. Especially given the fact that they’ve won zero World Championships.
