The New York Yankees can’t shake off their ongoing struggles. Despite positive updates on their $162 million ace, Carlos Rodon, fans still need to be convinced. Rodon, who signed with the Yankees during the 2022 offseason, has yet to debut due to a muscle sprain and a delayed back injury. However, recent reports suggest Rodon is on the mend and performing well in rehab games.
Still, the fanbase is having difficulty believing this might signal a turnaround for the team. Even with half the season left to play, the fans have lost faith in the team’s potential for success.

Will this streak continue for Carlos Rodon?
When Rodon started this season on the injured list, the fanbase heavily criticized the management. The reason was to sign the ace despite knowing about his injury. The blows kept coming for the Yankees as the team continued their subpar play with no sign of Rodon returning anytime soon. However, things might be taking a turn for the Bronx Bombers.
In his last rehab start, out of the 3.2 innings pitched, Rodon managed to let not a single run fly past him while giving only one hit. To top it all off, he had 2 Base Balls and eight strikeouts in the game.

While this update might be positive, it still does not give a date for Rodon’s return to the mound. The prolonged absence of Yankees captain Aaron Judge from the team for the second time this season is not has made difficult for fans to believe Rodon’s rehab positive updates. Hence, most fans believe Rodon’s positive injury update will not change the team’s fate.
Yankees fans need much more than an update like this one
As the season progresses and the All-Star game is just days away, the Yanks are experiencing a continued slump. Frustration is mounting among fans with no clear timeline for Judge’s return and the team seemingly focusing on minor victories despite severe game losses. Thus, even a positive update about their $162 million pitcher is met with mixed reactions.

Nice, so he can get in line to start losing 3-2 games like everybody else…
