Apart from being a cracker of a player, Aaron Judge is probably the most humble player in Major League Baseball. The New York Yankees slugger never shies away from praising his rival players. Known for his immense power-hitting, Aaron Judge is having the best season of his MLB career.
Although Judge is a power-hitter in the game, he always focuses on his batting average. And he has been successful so far in doing so in his seven years of baseball career. Judge is a very skilled and talented hitter in the ballpark. No doubt about that. But the Yankees star is also an enormously good leader.

Ever since the retirement of Derek Jeter, Judge is the only player who has come close to Jeter’s legacy. Coming down to his game, Judge has always preferred to maintain his batting average in MLB. Recently, he revealed why the best average is his priority.
Aaron Judge is all praise for Jose Altuve for his consistent average
Hitting home runs and maintaining the batting average are significantly different from what it seems. It is nearly impossible to hit a home run in every game. But if one wants to maintain their batting average, they must know how to move around bases, like the Houston Astros star Jose Altuve does.
Talking to MLB Network, Aaron Judge said he always likes such players who maintain their batting average rather than focusing on home runs. He took the example of Jose Altuve and said he is a very consistent hitter.
“For me, as a kid growing up, the average was the king. You wanted to be the guy with the best average, the highest average. For me, that’s a ballplayer. That’s the guy…,” Judge said. “We may use batting titles. You know, Jose Altuve, he always hit 0.330 every year. They hit the ball and they get on the base. And that’s what it is about.”
"People wanna talk about contracts, that's not what I'm playing for. I'm playing to bring a championship back here to New York."

The Yankees slugger also revealed his technique to maintain his average. Judge said he uses his power to hit hard. “So I always try to be a hitter first and then let my size provide the power,”, Judge added.
