After seven more matchups between the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the 2023 season would end. With this matchup, a new MLB champion is on the horizon. Both teams are vying for the coveted title, especially the D-Backs, who could secure their second championship. The situation, however, presents a contrasting scenario for the Rangers.

Notably, this is the ninth time the team from the Lone Star State has made it to the playoffs. However, they have yet to win a championship and will look to amend this time out. Moreover, their recent performances also make them a perfect challenger. If they win, it would be the perfect ending to their season that saw them upset big teams in a bid for their first World Series win.

It’s been over a decade since the Texas Rangers made it to the World Series last time. But on both occasions in 2010 and 2011, they lost the series, winning two rounds only. However, now they will be looking to improve over it with their third World Series appearance.

However, the task will not be simple against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Even though many consider them favorites, the Rangers have a fair idea of how the postseason works, having lost the championships with the odds in favor in 2010 and 2011.

Thus, they will look to be cautious against the Diamondbacks, a team that has surprised all to make it to the dream finale. But with a brilliant postseason run backing, the ALCS winner can handle it well to be on top.

A Great Postseason Gives Rangers a Hope of a Change

It has not been the best World Series experience for the Rangers. They could not strike wins to win the championship even after having their best seasons. But 2023 seems to be a bit different and the Rangers will look for a change from the past. The reason behind it is their strong regular season and even better postseason.

Notably, the Rangers dominated the division only to lose it at the end to the Astros due to a poor tie-break record. It pushed them into the Wild Card spot and down in the competition. But they swept past the challenge only to dismantle the Baltimore Orioles for the ALCS battle.

Later, they defeated the motivated Houston Astros to add more to the dream run with a first league championship in 12 years. Now, American League champions can add more to it, with a perfect start in a few hours. Will that be the case? Do tell us your thoughts in the comments.
