Miguel Cabrera is in his last year of Major League Baseball and making the most of it. The Venezuelan player has racked up a number of accomplishments that distinguish him from most players. Part of the 3000 hit club as well as 500 home run club, Cabrera is one in a million. Lovingly known to fans as Miggy, the 39-year-old is on his farewell tour this season.
And although he’s part of the Detroit Tigers, other teams are likely to honor him for his incredible 21 seasons too. In fact, the Houston Astros already did it at a game. But Detroit will not be left behind – the city’s most famous names in sports recently showed up to honor Cabrera at a game.
