Former New York Yankees star, Alex Rodriguez, once suffered a $500,000 loss in a robbery incident. Notably, after retiring from baseball, A-Rod used to host Sunday Night Baseball for ESPN. The former Yankee has been in the broadcast industry for a while now.

A-Rod might not be the best ballplayer. But when it comes down to name, fame, and money, the former Yankee is in a league of his own. Usually, when an athlete retires, they refer to giving time to their family and friends for the rest of their life. But A-Rod is different gravy.

His career can be divided into two parts; One is his baseball career, and the other is his post-retirement career. After retiring from baseball, A-Rod has not taken rest at all. When talking about the robbery that took place in 2019, Rodriguez was an ESPN analyst at that time.

Per The Spun, Yahoo Sports, Alex Rodriguez, along with the ESPN crew, went out for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Little did he know that his laptop, bags, and expensive jewelry will be gone in a while.

This incident happened, when A-Rod was in San Francisco for the Giants v/s Philadelphia Phillies game. Per The Spun, the looted items were worth around $500,000. The invaders also smashed the Black Nissan SUV that ESPN had rented for the Yankees legend and the crew members.

Taking to Twitter, Evan Sernoffsky of the San Francisco Chronicle informed the incident. “BREAKING: Half million in loot stolen from A-Rod’s car in San Francisco,” the tweet said.
