Derek Jeter was a gentleman in the game of baseball. He was one of the very few MLB players who received respect and honor from almost every baseball franchise. And why not? Having played for over 20 years of baseball, the former New York Yankees legend never engaged in any controversy.
Although Jeter had a calm presence in the Yankees clubhouse, he once did something so unexpected that it is hard to believe even today. Dating back to the pre-season of the 2001MLB season, Jeter made a memorable appearance on Saturday Night Live featuring the Yankees’ wives.

Although Derek Jeter was a professional athlete at that time, he aced his role as the Yankees slugger Alfonso Soriano’s wife. The former Yankees captain acted like a pro on that infamous Saturday Night Live.

When this episode aired in 2001, Jeter was just seven-year-old in Major League Baseball. Having been playing for one of the biggest sports franchises, Derek Jeter was quite popular in American sports.
In one of the scenes of the Yankees’ wives episode on SNL, Jeter, dressed as a Soriano’s wife, even called the other Yankees star Tino Martinez a ‘super foxy girl.’ Reacting to this, former Yankees star Bernie Williams’ wife’s impersonator hilariously took a dig at Martinez.
“I know I shouldn’t say this, but I think Tino Martinez is a super foxy girl,” said Jeter.
“I don’t know, but his wife tells me there is not much to work with,” Williams’ wife responded.
While conversing with each other, Jeter jokingly did a troll job on himself and his close friend, Tino Martinez.

“I don’t believe that because I have studied that bulge… Jeter does not do it for me. He looks like if the Rock had s*x with a muppet,” Derek Jeter, who impersonated Alfonso’s wife, added.
