Talking to the People, Upton said, “It’s kind of great to be with someone who is in a similar place in their life. And I think because I started my career so young and he started his career so routine-oriented that coming into our own we kind of both did it at the same time,”

Just after one year of their marriage, the couple also became parents to their daughter, Genevieve Upton Verlander.

Verlander is still an instrumental part of the Dusty Baker-led team, while Upton is also busy doing her professional commitments in Hollywood. With 49 strikeouts in just eight starts, Verlander has been quite a handful from the mound for the Astros.
