After backing Trump, the 14x All-Star expressed his take on how music and sports are the two most significant powers for a special reason.

MLB Legend Emphasizes the Power of Music and Sports Despite Short Music-Celebrity Relationships

Alex Rodriguez was from the sports field, and his relationship with music is quite well-known. A-Rod’s two ex-girlfriends were from the music industry- Madonna and Jennifer Lopez. Though his relationship didn’t last long with any of these two celebrities, the MLB legend still thinks music is a powerful medium to connect people, along with sports.

While talking about various things in this show, especially sportspersons becoming business people after retirement, the host presented a situation where he invited one of his friends from Dallas to join them in the episode, but that friend refused after hearing Alex Rodriguez’s name, mentioning, “I hate the guy.”

The 2009 World Series Champion didn’t take the hate personally, and with laughter, he replied when the host asked about the intensity of the love-hate they get from fans. He said, “It’s incredible, It’s incredible. But you know that’s what makes sports so great.” The Yankees legend again continues explaining his thoughts, saying, “I Always say nothing brings people together more than sports and music. And that’s a great example of that.”

This same interview contains his supportive words for one of his greatest rivals from a distant field, Donald Trump. The interview was mainly focused on the sports personalities becoming business investors after retirement and about the non-development of talent.

At one point, the former athlete was asked about his opinion on Donald Trump’s view of people having talents but not developing them. A-Rod, without even any hesitation, said, “100%, yeah.” This made fans surprised about the 3x MVP supporting one of his greatest rivals who slammed him during his most crucial time during his career.

Donald Trump and Alex Rodriguez’s Rivalry Reached The Point of Void in A-Rod’s Contract

Trump and Rodriguez both are renowned names in their respective fields. However, when this rivalry began, the two didn’t have any apparent contact with each other. The Former President of the US was a business owner and political entity at that time, but his influence was huge. So, when in 2013, the drug scandal of Rodriguez came to light, this political entity slammed him on social media, asking the Yankees to void his contract.

However, neither the Yankees nor A-Rod ever reacted to any of these, but fans got divided. Trump’s dislike reached the extent where he even mentioned that he and Rodriguez lived in the same building and none like the baseball star there. The 14x Al Star never replied to any of his comments in public, but his recent endorsement shows he has no grudges.
