The catcher, who at first showed immense potential, could not live up to the expectations, never once carving out a regular role in his baseball career. In all five years of MLB career, Greiner played somewhat for only a season. During this time, he appeared in 139 games, took 485 trips to the plate, and hit nine home runs in his plate appearances.
