Notably, Scherzer exited the game and could only pitch for five innings. He left the pitch after experiencing some discomfort. MLB stated that “Max Scherzer exited tonight’s game with an apparent injury after throwing a pitch.” Though nothing is clear about his injury, reports suggest that he faced discomfort in his right triceps. He will go under an MRI to ascertain the exact nature of the injury.

However, given his injury, the injury could take time to heal and could limit Scherzer’s time on the mound. And if it happens, it will be a setback for him. Although there is a drop in performances in the former Mets. But he has done a decent for the Rangers with 53 strikeouts in 8 starts at an ERA of 3.20 and WHIP of 0.90. And as playoffs are just weeks away, Scherzer would not like to miss them. But it seems fans feel otherwise.

Fans Criticize Scherzer After an Injury Limits His Game Time
