Ever since the world closed down in 2020, outings sometimes still seem rare. Now, three years later, everything is more or less back as it was. People are free to enjoy each other’s company – in person – as much as they want. Many would argue that one of the best things to come back is a live concert. Because, after all, there’s nothing quite like screaming the lyrics to one’s favorite songs in a sweaty pit of a few hundred people. One artist currently performing live is Usher, and one person who attended that show was a family member of Derek Jeter.

If a person has been alive for any time in the last few decades, Usher needs no introduction. But maybe the lesser-known Jeter does. Sharlee is the sister of the MLB legend, Derek Jeter. The former Yankees captain made a name for himself with his outstanding performance on the field. And cheering her big brother on from the crowds was Sharlee Jeter, along with their parents. The younger Jeter recently attended a night of performances by Usher and Ludacris.

The “Yeah!” singer is currently on his Usher My Way: The Las Vegas Residency tour, one of the biggest performances of his career. The first show took place on Feb. 24th and will go on for April, June, July, and some shows in October.

Sharlee was clearly having the time of her life at his show on March 18th. She posted a clip of the singer to her story, captioning it, “Last night was a vibe. @usher show was amazing!” Jeter also went on to thank two of her friends who were there with her. The next story simply included the profile tag for Ludacris with a few exclamation marks, clearly showing the artist giving an electric performance. In fact, even Usher himself posted a video of the “Move Bi*ch” artist jamming out on the stage.

Sharlee clearly has good taste in music! And while she may be the sister of a popular pro baseballer, she has a number of achievements to her name, too.

Derek Jeter and his sister are quite the business brother-sister duo

The ex-Yankee founded a non-profit called the Turn 2 Foundation in 1996. He wanted to help youngsters live healthy lifestyles and move away from a life of drugs and alcohol. Given that the siblings’ dad used to work as a substance abuse counselor, it’s natural they would be affected by it too.

While Derek got a little too busy handling his pro career, his family stepped in to help. His Dad handled a major part of the work for some years. And toady, Sharlee is officially the president of the organization. In fact, she was recently even awarded for her contribution to social work.
