Alex Rodriguez was one of the best ever to grave the ballpark with his charming presence. Having played for three MLB franchises, A-Rod sparked the brightest in the Bronx while playing for the New York Yankees. 

Even though he did not win multiple titles for the Pinstripes, A-Rod brought new energy to the Yankees clubhouse. It did not take him long to become a fan favorite in New York. And why not? On his day, A-Rod would single-handedly take on any opposition.

But all of this joy of being cheered in the iconic Yankee Stadium did not last long. The reason? Long before joining the Pinstripes, he had dirtied himself when he used PEDs to enhance his performance. And in the end, he had to pay an enormous price for his mistakes.

Alex Rodriguez confessed his mistakes after coming out of the MLB suspension

Per Ben Reiter of Sports Illustrated, a couple of years after retiring from baseball, Alex Rodriguez opened up about the mistakes he did in his past. And how there is no one, only himself, to blame for his poor decisions.

The former Yankee said he felt like falling from the Empire State Building. But he is not that person anymore. After losing a substantial fortune, he is a different person.

“I fell from the Empire State Building,” Rodriguez said. “Nobody pushed me. I f***ng jumped. No parachute. I have no one to blame for myself. But what’s changed is, I got my a*s humbled. I paid a deep penalty. I’ve learned lessons. And I’m different.”

Notably, after retiring from baseball, Alex Rodriguez has been on a roll as a businessman. Under the umbrella of his investment company A-Rod Corp, the former Yankee has done some excellent business deals over the last few years.

In 2021, A-Rod teamed up with business tycoon Marc Lore and bought the NBA franchise Minnesota Timberwolves for a whopping $1.5 billion.
