As the 2023 MLB is entering the final few weeks of the league stage, things are getting difficult for the few teams. It includes the Los Angeles Angels, who were once cruising for the playoffs but are languishing behind. And already under stress, they have lost two of their crucial players, Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani to injury. Though Ohtani is still venturing into a different role for the team, Trout has shifted his focus to the different side.

It seems Trout is taking most of the time off the MLB duties and is now focused on his golf project. Golf legend Tiger Woods is designing the project and the latest reports suggest it is going in the right direction. Given that Ohtani and Trout have a strong friendship, the presumption is there that Ohtani could join Trout on the greens as injury troubles begin for the Japanese wonder.

Since Mike Trout shared his dream project, everyone is excited about it. With the involvement of Tiger Woods in the project, things had become more interesting. Now, after a wait of months, it seems there is finally an answer for the answers of fans about the project.

Mike Trout shared a tweet giving an update on the most awaited project. It read, ” The wait is over. Excited to share the latest from Trout National – The Reserve. We’ve finalized course routing and are continuing to make progress on this unique and exciting project with @TigerWoods and @tgrdesignbytw”

Notably, the update came as they sent Trout on the ten days because of a wrist injury. Trout is making the most of the break to look at his project, which is reaching the next stage. But could it prompt Ohtani to join his friend Trout as he also nurses a UCL injury?

Will Shohei Ohtani follow Trout on the Greens?

Though Ohtani shares a great bond with Trout, it will require a lot for him to join his friend on the greens. It includes the shared love for golf as a sport. But it seems missing at the moment. An old video suggests that the Japanese star could not repeat his skills on the greens.

In the video, the struggles of Ohtani are very much visible. And it seems that the player is not made for the sport, even after all the success on the baseball field. Also, even though Ohtani is injured, has not lost his zeal to fight for the team.

Ohtani is scoring runs by limiting his role to a designated hitter. With the Angels fighting for the playoffs, it is unlikely that he might leave the team at this moment. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments below.
