The hunt for the American Century Championship is underway and Alex Rodriguez is back to swinging ways. He has started his training, sharing a glimpse on social media. Alongside Alex Rodriguez, some other big names are also participating in the event. The event is expected to run from July 10 to 14 at the Edgewood Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada.

At the moment, it’s Steph Curry holding the championship crown. But, this time in 2024, he won’t be there to defend his title. Instead, he will be at the Olympics, representing Team USA. The mission? He will try to get Gold at the Olympics in Paris. Altogether, the absence of the reigning champion and the full-swing training mode A-Rod is under, makes it feel like it’s his time to take home another acclaim.

It seems A-rod is training hard before the championship. This time, it’s a massive $150,000 up for grabs, plus $600,000 for charity component. But, most importantly, the road could be slightly easier with Steph Curry not in contention. Showcasing his training, Rodriguez shared a recent Instagram story. He was seen practicing, where his golf stroke landed the ball into the hole at the Rush Greek Golf Club.

Also, apart from A-Rod, Trevor Lawrence, of the Jacksonville Jaguars, will be in contention for the glory. Both recorded back-to-back 4,000-yard seasons and are back for another milestone. A few more familiar names are returning to play, including, Tony Romo, Charles Barkley, Jerry Rice, Aaron Rodgers, and Steve Young.

Wondering about the previous Tahoe event? It was the Steph Curry show! Scoring a walk-off-eager on the final hole, and having a highlight reel hole-in-one, he clinched the elusive title. Missing the current year, he hopes to be back for the next one. It’s his last NBA tour, and after his retirement, he might be able to play golf at full capacity.

Giving essential event details, it’s a 54-hole competition with a staggering price money. And A-Rod has his eyes on it with his impressive Golf form. However, apart from the latest Golf event for A-Rod, he’s had pretty memorable golf outings in 2024.
