‘I Didn’t Believe in Fairytales Anymore’- Tiger Woods’ Former Fling Once Relived a Traumatic Experience That Led Up to Relationship With Derek Jeter

Apart from being an excellent ballplayer and an exceptional leader in baseball, the former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter was also a wonderful human being in his playing days. When talking about Jeter’s personal life, the Yankees legend has dated quite a few women before getting married to Hannah Jeter.

Although the Yankees legend has dated some famous Hollywood celebrities, he also had a less-talked-about relationship with the American TV host, Rachel Uchitel, during the 2008 MLB season.

Not many people know this, but Uchitel had experienced trauma before having a relationship with the former Yankees captain. And not only with Jeter, but later on, Uchitel also had a much-talked-about relationship with golf legend Tiger Woods.

Per nickiswift.com, Derek Jeter and Rachel Uchitel dated for a brief time in 2008. But before having a relationship with Jeter; Uchitel was traumatized by her marriage breakdown. During the tragic 9/11 incident, Uchitel also lost her husband. 

And it completely changed her life. While seeking love, care, and protection, she dated the then-famous Yankees captain, Derek Jeter. 

“There was something that changed in that moment,” Uchitel confessed on a podcast. “I was no longer a little girl … I had to protect myself, I didn’t believe in fairytales anymore.”

Uchitel also revealed how she met Tiger Woods while being in a relationship with Jeter. Notably, a year after meeting Woods through Jeter; she ended up having a relationship with Woods.

“I was dating Derek Jeter, and Tiger was sleeping over at Derek’s house, and so he was the guest in the guest bedroom, and he was just a buddy. And I remember, we were opening up Derek’s window, and he was smoking a cigar out the window or something, and we just became friendly. And so that’s how I originally met him,” Uchitel revealed.
