Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout’s life has been hectic for the last few months because of different projects. Apart from his MLB exploits, the 11 times All-Star is shaping up his golf course dream. It has come after he collaborated with golf legend Tiger Woods for a $350 million Vineland project. Notably, this project also opened the door for another dream collaboration for Trout involving Woods. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely to happen now.

Apart from Trout Reserve, Tiger Woods has envisioned a dream project, a tech-infused TGL series. And it is getting all the support. Multiple superstar athletes, including $290 Million worth of Serena Williams and billionaire LeBron James became part of the project. And it added to the hopes that Trout might make his way into the league. But according to the latest reports, his dream of sharing a golfing space with his idol Woods has taken a hit.

Arthur Blank Becomes the Latest Addition to the Tiger Woods Dream Project

In modern golf, the name Tiger Woods echoes greatness and success. Woods is one of the most prolific golf players ever with 15 majors. And because of it, he gets all the attention. The same happened when he announced his dream project of starting a tech-infused golf league. Amidst all questions of its feasibility, the TGL series is getting all the love and support.

It was visible when James owned the Fenway Sports Group joined the project. It will own a team from Boston to the TGL. But the highly prolific additions have not stopped, with $7.9 billion Arthur Blank joining the list of stars advocating for the league’s success. Owner of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United Football Club of the MLS. And would own an Atlanta-based team that will participate in January 2024.

It is a great addition that will fulfill the void of a third of the six cities participating in the first edition. Though the investment is good, it might have ended hopes of Trout joining the league.

Will Mike Trout Join the TGL?

Mike Trout loves golf wholeheartedly. This is the reason behind his golf course, ‘Trout Reserve.’ It is being built in his hometown Vineland in southern New Jersey, with the vision of Tiger Woods, who is designing the project. Though a true Tiger fan, Trout has shared his love and playing alongside Woods in a competitive environment. It fueled the reports that to fulfill that dream, he might join the TGL series. Given that it would take place during the MLB off-season, it added more to the case.

But with only three cities left, there will be tremendous competition for a spot in the league. With billionaires joining, Trout has to spend a lot to find his name as one owner. And because he was already spending a lot on his dream project, it looks unlikely that he might enter the league as an owner.
