Admit it or not! Ozzie Guillen has been the best that happened for the Chicago White Sox in their century-old history. Be it as a player or a manager, Guillen always gave his hundred percent for the American League team.?
One does not have to agree with his opinions, but Ozzie Guillen was the one who ended almost a century0old title drought in the Guaranteed Rate Field. As a player, Ozzie played shortstop for the White Sox for over 13 years. Although he did not win any title as a player for the White Sox, Ozzie won them the 2005 World Series as a manager.

Many baseball pundits and fans criticized his approach to playing the game. But Ozzie did not care and remained focused on winning the championship for the American League side. A few years ago, the White Sox legend discussed his strategy that led his team to do the unthinkable.
Ozzie Guillen was not a fan of celebrating the victories
While talking to Graham Bensinger in 2017, Ozzie Guillen admitted that he used to vomit after every single defeat during the 2005 campaign. The former White Sox manager did not take any credit for leading his side to win the championship. Instead, he credited his players.
?It is very true (vomiting after defeats). I think we were wasting our chance… The only thing I think that day to be the guy was a manager of the ball club,? Ozzie said.?
?I never say, wow, look at what I did. It was my ball club… They were superstars, but they played the game right. They show up to play and win games every day. When they take that field, we know we are going to kick some bu*t.?

The former White Sox skipper also shared an adorable incident when his team won the championship in Houston. Ozzie was not someone who would go after the limelight. And he gave a reason why he did not celebrate the championship with the players.
?I didn’t (celebrate the win with players) because that’s not my win. The only thing I did, I grabbed my three kids… and then I stayed away from the players. Because that’s their party? The reason we got there was because they did it. Not because I did it. I think it was nice to be out there and help,? added Ozzie Guillen.
