It’s been an excellent weekend to be a New York Yankees fan. With Anthony Rizzo finally coming out of his two-month-long home run slump, thanks to Taylor Swift, the club has taken a series victory. Fans would have lost all faith had the Yankees been unable to sweep a lowly team like the Kansas City Royals, so they were looking forward to a comeback. But, of course, a streak of good luck wouldn’t last.

The Bronx Bombers have lost many players to the injured list lately. Aaron Judge still isn’t back, Carlos Rodon and Giancarlo Stanton barely made it, and Harrison Bader struggles to keep healthy. To add to their woes, now another player is joining the list.

Gleyber Torres has been having an uncharacteristically good few weeks. Torres has been helpful with a fiery streak for a team that has had to pull up from the bottom three in offensive production. But now he may have to spend time on the IL.

And as fans feared, the Yankees announced bad news – Torres had to exit the game due to left hip tightness. The team can’t afford to lose its star hitter currently, and everyone seems to be waiting with bated breaths.

New York Yankees Fans Are Not Happy With Another IL Announcement

Given that it’s not a major injury, fans are hoping for a quick return because the team needs it. But some still couldn’t help but mock modern generation players for being ‘too soft.’
