New York Yankees’ star Gleyber Torres has recently voiced his opinion over an infamous incident. The scandal occurred at a baseball game in Torres’ native country, Venezuela. It was a Venezuelan Winter League game between the Caribes de Anzoategui and the Tiburones de La Guaira. Former MLB star Asdrubal Cabrera incited a brawl during the game.??

The brawl started after Guaira’s Carlos Castro smashed a home run. Amid the celebration of the home run, Castro taunted Anzoategui’s dugout. Cabrera, who is an Anzoategui player, took note of Castro’s actions. Enraged by Castro’s celebratory move, Cabrera dealt a punch to Castro in response, and consequently, the benches got clear.
The two-time All-Star Cabrera is an MLB free agent who began playing for the Cleveland Indians in 2007. He last played an MLB game for the Cincinnati Reds in 2021. In between, he played for the Washington Nationals, Tampa Bay Rays, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, and Arizona Diamondbacks. Cabrera won the World Series with the Nationals in 2019.?

Yankees’ second baseman,?Gleyber Torres is seemingly hurt over the news of Asdrubal Cabrera’s violent actions on the baseball diamond. So Torres released a statement in Spanish, condemning Cabrera’s decision. Torres referred to Cabrera as ‘The Oldest in the League’. Thus, Torres requested ‘The Veterans’ to understand and comply with the on-field celebrations of the younger generation.
