Even though the New York Yankees haven’t won a championship in the last thirteen years, they are still considered one of the strongest teams in the entire league. Building on already one of the most formidable teams, the team is now worth a massive $7.1 billion, which is 18% more than the team was a year ago, per the latest report.

However, as soon as this update hit Twitter, the Pinstripes fans started bashing the management for not being able to build a team that is worthy of winning a world series trophy. Aside from this, they are also talking about giving growth of the extra eighteen percent to recruit the two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani to their team when he becomes a free agent post-this season.

But will Shohei Ohtani join the New York Yankees?

Notably, after his heroic performances in the recently concluded WBC, Ohtani’s market value is at a new high. And given he is about to be a free agent after the 2023 season, he is all set to get a contract worth around $500 million. Now that the Yankees have also increased their brand value to a whopping $7.1 billion, fans wish to have Ohtani in the Bronx.

Following are some of the fans’ reactions toward the Yankees becoming the most valuable team in the entire Major League Baseball.

But it still doesn’t explain not winning a world series and absurdly high prices for beverages and food items.

The Yanks came a little closer to winning their 28th world series trophy last season but couldn’t get past the Astros in ALCS. Hence, fans are angry about putting up the players who, according to them, shouldn’t be on the field.

How much did the Yanks spend this off-season?

Topping over their cross-town rivals, the New York Yankees have spent a total amount of $573.5 million in this off-season. Their biggest spend would be bringing the AL home run king, Aaron Judge, back to the Bronx.

But only Judge is enough to bring their 28th world series trophy home? The fans on Twitter don’t seem to think so until and unless the management makes some big changes and brings players like Ohtani, Volpe, Dominguez, and others on the roster.
