Once the 2022 World Series got over, the MLB off-season has become a hot topic in the town. And thanks to Aaron Judge and the free agency chaos that the slugger has successfully fashioned after a sensational 2022 season, the entertainment has gone nowhere from the MLB world.
Analogous to that, while the Yankees have offered a massive contract to Judge, the Pinstripes fans are doubting the reigning AL MVP weather should get such a massive contract.

As reported by the Athletic’s columnist Ken Rosenthal, the New York Yankees outfielder is demanding a nine-season contract that could extend beyond $350 million; if rumors are to be believed.
Aaron Judge rumors continue to rampage:
Thanks to the rumors regarding Judge’s contract, the bidding war between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants only continues to intensify. A few days back, as reported by ESPN analyst Jeff Passan, the Yanks offered a contract for $300 million to Aaron Judge for eight years.

However, given this new development, both the Yankees and Giants might send a large bag of money toward the 2022 American League MVP.
Following another development in the landmark Aaron Judge judgment, fan predictions continued. And this is how they reacted to Ken Rosenthal’s latest update on Aaron Judge:
The reports of Aaron Judge likely getting a nine year deal seems odd. So if he plays out the full length of whoever gives him this nine year deal. He will be 39 years old. Looking for another deal if he’s not traded in between those nine years. #Yankees.

I am perfectly comfortable giving Aaron Judge a 9th year. Make him a Yankee forever and let’s go win some championships.

Do Yankees fans not care that there’s pretty much a 100% guarantee that the Aaron Judge contract ends up being horrendous on the back end? Does $40M AAV to a 39 year batting .230 and hitting 22 homers sound fun to you?
“But he’s da face of da fwanchise 🥺”

Here’s a thought @Yankees
Stop fucking around and give Aaron Judge 9 years at $400mil.
If you don’t the Giants or Dodgers will
Oh and make him Captain he deserves it

Aaron Judge @TheJudge44 signs with the Kansas City Royals. 2 years 350 million

The Mets don’t need anymore 40 year olds
— Mets9 (7-4) (@newyorkmets22) December 3, 2022
Lol. They can have him for that.

There is always a mystery team, because no sports writer knows where any of these guys are actually going
— Brian (@Brianlovesfall) December 3, 2022
The back half of that contract, at a minimum, is going to be a nightmare. He's never going to hit 62 homers ever again.
— Charlie Marlow (@rob4571) December 3, 2022
They gonna overpay him one way or the other. Judge is like 30 31 now, probably got like 5-6 years left in his body assuming he stay healthy.

Yeahhhhh….giants Can have him
Yankees fan btw

With a splendid 2022 record to stand on, Judge has already strongly and confidently displayed his potential to the world. Especially after he entered 2022 with an enormous free agency bet placed on him. Now, however, the outfielder is asking franchisees to bet on his age and future health, which will remain unpredictable.
Should Judge’s frail 2022 postseason affect his contract?
Judge’s aging self isn’t the only concern that circles the outfielder’s playing career. Aaron Judge‘s 2022 postseason was disastrous, to say the least. Especially after a spectacular regular season with 62 homers and the eventual MVP award, in the postseason, out of the 36 at-bats, the star slugger managed only five hits and two home runs.

If this season was evocative of Judge’s postseason abilities, then it stands as a big concern for his future franchise. But that doesn’t seem to play a very big role in his contract offer up until now.

All in all, the question that still stands is, “where will Judge go next?” Will the Giants successfully outbid the Yankees or will Judge’s love for New York keep him in Pinstripes? Or will the Dodgers surprise everyone with a shocking contract to outbid both New York and San Francisco?
