The New York Yankees are on a mission to strengthen their baseball team, adopting several strategies. From their captain, Aaron Judge, to their star slugger, Giancarlo Stanton, everyone is bracing themselves to bring forth their best demeanor. Be it with their designated coaching staff or the former team’s legend, the team members have been garnering skillsets all along.

The Yankees’ former stars continue to invest their knowledge to hone the team’s current acquisitions. Bernie Williams, the team’s former legend, set a perfect example when he was captured training the team’s star slugger, Giancarlo Stanton, during the team’s batting practice season. The Yankees’ former star, Bernie Williams, appeared on the field during the spring training session of the team several times. Recently, he caught the attention of the Pinstripes fans when a video featuring him and Giancarlo Stanton swirled around the X platform. In the video, Stanton was spotted discussing his hitting movement. In response to that discussion, Williams was spotted sharing his insights, probably to help him cope with the challenges he faced prior.

Bernie, being one of the unfaded characters of the Yankees force, made several appearances on the field even after calling it the end of his career in 2006. The former teammate of another brimming icon of the team, Derek Jeter, spent his 16 seasons with the Pinstripes, where he assisted the team in claiming four World Series titles as an outfielder. Undoubtedly, his appearances are set to benefit the team in every way possible, which brings him on the field to advise the current stars of the team, including Arrison Bader, Giancarlo Stanton, and Aaron Judge.

Stanton, on the other hand, is coming off a dissatisfying season, equipping himself in every way possible to let his team live their World Series dream. Though the previous year was injury-laden for the star, he seems more prepared in spring training, hitting a rocket to the right-center field wall with unmatched velocity against right-hander Dennis Santana to raise the bar in the upcoming season.

Is Stanton set to shine under the light of excellence?

The 34-year-old saw the worst season in his career in the injury-marred 2023 season with a mere.191 hits, along with.695 OPS in 101 games. Coming off such a disheartening season, his performance in spring training undoubtedly bears immense significance, as he said, “This is big,” when talking about his performance in Grapefruit League games.

While resonating with his words, his performance also pictured life in his swings as he stunned the crowd by hitting at 110 mph. Following the blissful performance, the slugger affirmed his confidence, stating, “It’s not everything. But it’s rewarding to go out there and do something decent.”

It is indeed rewarding, not only for him but also for the team, as the team’s captain, Aaron Judge, stated, “He’s going to give you 30-plus homers and 100 RBIs when he’s in the middle of the lineup.” Stanton was placed on No. 6 in the Sunday game, with Juan Soto, Judge, Anthony Rizzo, DJ LeMahieu, and Gleyber Torres ahead of him.

However, Stanton barely holds any concern about his number in the lineup or his previous injuries, as he stated, “There is no past. There’s just now,” reaffirming his confidence level.
