It has been a disappointing season for Giancarlo Stanton. The $325 million star has failed to hit the ball at the desired rate. In 101 games, the DH scored just 43 runs, 24 HRs with 60 RBIs. His average also dropped below 0.200, and a dip was also seen in OPS, which reached 0.695.

Given the payroll, the 33-year-old failed to justify his performance. Although he showed promise that has failed to get him the confidence of a Yankees legend. Alex Rodriguez has questioned Stanton’s place on the team.

According to insidehook.com, Rodriguez said, “I love Stanton, but I just don’t love him on that roster. I don’t think he fits now and I don’t think he’s going to fit in the future with Aaron Judge there.” This comment could be a setback for Stanton, who looks to improve and help his captain next season.

Notably, Giancarlo Stanton is on a 13-year contract with the Yankees. He is expected to go free agent in the year 2029. This is because the star player is not focusing on anything but the comeback. Though there are rumors of his exit, Stanton is not bothered and wants to bring changes to help Aaron Judge.

According to nypost.com, Stanton said, “There’ll be a lot of changes. I’ve talked about how bad the year has been, so not much more to touch on that. But there will be a lot in the lab in the offseason.” He also shared that the priority is to have a game plan for the next year.
