His wife Amy posted a wholesome video of Cole with his son Caden and it has stolen the hearts of the Bronx Faithful.

After a brilliant 2023, Gerrit Cole‘s on-field quality has turned him into a huge fan favorite. The reason for his fame though, is not just what he does in the ballpark, but also his off-field conduct. This can be seen from the reaction he got to the video his wife posted.

Bronx fans have long cursed the front office for investing in all the wrong players in the last several years. From Aaron Hicks to Josh Donaldson, none have lasted as long as they should have. The one saving grace for Brian Cashman has been Gerrit Cole, who became a Pinstriper in 2020. Cole’s regularly brilliant performance on the mound has earned him a faithful fanbase. But then outside of baseball, Cole happens to be a devout family man who loves to spend time with his wife and kids, earning even more fan love.

When his wife Amy posted a video on social media, the online world exploded with comments of adoration. In the clip, Cole can be seen playing soccer with his older son Caden. The 3-year-old is seen dribbling the ball while Cole is running behind him, enjoying watching the little one have a merry time.

The video showed how the Cole family enjoys their leisure time and fans were quick to react to this wholesome video. Many wished that the Yankees would win the World Series just to give Cole a ring. Given his Cy Young-worthy performance, the rest of the team has yet to catch up to his potential.

One fan created a scenario where Cole and his little boys celebrate winning the World Series together.

Yankees fans have shown love to Cole before as well. Once they saw Caden imitating his dad, they were mesmerized by the cuteness that was on display.

One predicted that Caden Cole could be the team’s lefty hitter in just a little while.

And finally, one said in a straightforward way that he loved Caden warming up with Cole.

Fans hope that one day they’ll get to see the two boys pick up the World Series Championship with their dad. Could that year be 2024? Or will they have to wait longer?
