Mike Trout was seen soaking in all the action at the Philadelphia Eagles division clash against the Dallas Cowboys; cameras caught the Los Angeles Angels star on the broadcast where he was busy high-fiving the Eagles players after big plays. Then, Trout’s day even got better as he got a special keepsake—after a stellar turnover, the Eagles handed the Angels star the football—a grand souvenir from their victory over Dallas!

While Mike Trout was busy cheering passionately for his hometown team, his baseball future is still a huge topic. After all, the fans and the franchise have high expectations for him; there were rumors that Mike would be traded off to the Yankees, but it seems like the team is still holding on to him tight. Ron Washington recently said, “Before he hurt his knee a second time, he was ready to go. I still see him do things that 80 percent of players in the Major Leagues can’t do.” 

Trout has been open to switching positions if that helps; however, Washington didn’t seem thrilled with that. He mentioned that the team is focused on putting the team together before spring training. Mike Trout fired up for the Eagles, but MLB fans aren’t feeling the love

The Angels fans are mad, and hence, some of them have started bringing it up online. One such user highlighted that Trout as a fan has been more energetic than as a player in the MLB. Well, there is no lie that Mike Trout has had some downtime this year due to his injuries. Look at the stats—he played just 266 of 648 games between 2021 and 2024—that’s not a great number for a player of Trout’s caliber.

Another commenter mocked Trout’s ongoing dynamics as they sarcastically explained that he might have hurt himself while high-fiving the Eagles player and catching the ball. So are the fans tired now, given Mike has injured himself plenty of times this year? And don’t ask which parts he has injured; ask what not—from foot, calf, back, wrist, and the latest knee, Trout has seen it all!

One fan pointed out that Mike Trout looked more passionate about the Eagles game than in his presence with the Angels. Well, Trout’s been a regular at the late-season Eagle games for some years now. So it’s not new, and Mike is indeed a big fan. Moreover, given he doesn’t have to work when the NFL season is wrapping up, thus, Mike ends up visiting a lot of these games. He was even at the Super Bowl last year.

With the Angels hoping for a smoother upcoming season, their supporters want to see an injury-less year from Mike Trout. One enthusiast took a jab at Trout’s health issues, hoping he stays healthy the entire next season. After all, a player like Trout is hard to come by, especially when he is in his form. Previously, Trout was even leading MLB in runs for a while; the 32-year-old had scored .220/.325/.541 and hit 10 home runs, marking a testament to his power and raising the Angels fans’ expectations.

Fans are sentimental, and hence, the comments about wanting Mike Trout out of Anaheim have already started pouring in. There were rumors about a possible trade, but that doesn’t seem like an option any longer.
