It has been an engaging MLB season, with many teams bringing their best into the play. And those teams lived up to the fan expectations as they continue to cherish the competitiveness as the playoffs near. But amidst all the good, some areas are still struggling to satisfy the fans. The foremost is the controversial umpiring, which has brought many questions regarding the future of the competition. Although the umpires play a critical for fair play, but when they cannot do their duties, it nullifies the primary motive of having them. And the problem seems never-ending, even in the second half of the season.
The second half started on the same controversial note, which created problems. The same story unfolded with the ejection of the Toronto Blue Jays star George Springer against the Cleveland Guardians. Given that baseball fans expected better from the umpires, the entire episode left them unhappy with this episode. Reacting to it, they added their thoughts to their dejections on social media.
The Ejection of George Springer and Manager John Schneider Rocked the Toronto Blue Jays
The MLB world has seen multiple ejections this season. Though many ejections failed to affect the team’s performance, some had a negative effect. The same thing happened during the Blue Jays vs. Guardians game when George Springer and the manager John Schneider were ejected from confronting umpires.
Jomboy Media shared a clip of the episode with the caption, “George Springer and manager John Schneider were ejected after this called strike three, and they were LIVID.”

When Springer was on the plate, he left the ball hoping to be called a ball. But the umpire had another idea and called it a strike, leaving the player angry. The $150 million salaried Springer verbally confronted the umpire who ejected him. It left the manager furious, who had the same fate after he marched toward the umpire.
Notably, the entire episode happened during the seventh inning, when the Jays were trailing by a run. The entire case hampered their chase badly after they failed to score a run in the remaining innings to lose out on a score of 4-3. With this result, the series ended in a draw, displeasing fans.
Baseball Fans Stressed on the Poor Umpiring They Have Seen the Entire Season
It was another controversial decision, and fans had a lot to share. Already angry over how the season has progressed so far, they were livid after another decision disturbed the result. Disagreeing with the umpires, fans called it an umpire show.

Though a few varied from this and shared conflicting thoughts.
Umpire has every right to toss them both. You can’t argue balls and strikes. It is a judgment call and that was borderline strike.
