The New York Mets have had a poor start to their season. The side are now looking to add more firepower to their squad. According to the reports, the Mets are calling Gary Sanchez into the MLB squad. Before signing for the Mets, Sanchez had a Minor League contract with the San Francisco Giants, from which he opted out in the first week of May.
The Queens-based team is currently third in the NL East standings, with a win percentage of 0.489. The situation has improved with the series win against the Tampa Bay Rays. With the top spot in reach, the Mets are looking to get better and complete their objectives.

Meanwhile, Gary Sanchez does not need any introduction. The player comes with the experience of over 660 games under his belt. He has scored 341 runs averaging 0.225 during this period. Sanchez has 401 RBIs and 154 Home runs to his credit and has been involved in 718 strikeouts during his career. Sanchez lastly played for the Twins, where he was involved in 128 games and scored 48 runs at an average of 0.205. He also saw 136 strikeouts during this period. The experience of the player is something that the Mets are looking to benefit from.
