The star infielder’s wife, Chelsea Freeman, shared a touching Instagram Post for her husband, celebrating the moment. She talked about the challenging moments fans usually didn’t see and applauded her husband for overcoming them all. Furthermore, she shared several pictures of the star first baseman with his family, making it even more special. In her message, Chelsea asked her husband to set his sights on a specific number.

Freeman spoke about grinding and coming to work every day. The team shared a Twitter video in which he said, “I think that’s what 2000 hits means to me, is just being able to go out there every day and grind and compete every single day. So, hopefully, we can get a lot more hits together.” He also spoke about his likeness for being back in Southern California and playing in front of his family.
