In his most recent outing against the Houston Astros, Freddie Freeman secured his 2000th career hit. It was a massive moment as he smashed an RBI double in the 8th inning to help the Dodgers mount a comeback. Although the Los Angeles-based team lost in 11 innings, Freeman’s hit gave them a hope.

The star infielder’s wife, Chelsea Freeman, shared a touching Instagram Post for her husband, celebrating the moment. She talked about the challenging moments fans usually didn’t see and applauded her husband for overcoming them all. Furthermore, she shared several pictures of the star first baseman with his family, making it even more special. In her message, Chelsea asked her husband to set his sights on a specific number. 

In the caption, she said, “Daddy got his 2,000th hit yesterday! ⚾️ Everyone sees the big milestones, but not many get to see all of the sacrifice, dedication, and commitment it has taken to get to this point. I am so proud of you for overcoming every rough slump, every broken bone, every hard goodbye, and always continuing to chase your dreams. It has truly been amazing to watch. Now let’s go for 1,000 more!!🙏🏻”.

Freddie Freeman celebrated his 2000-hit milestone with his teammates and coaches after the game. He also addressed his teammates while talking about the achievement with champagne in one hand. Freeman spoke about grinding and coming to work every day. The team shared a Twitter video in which he said“I think that’s what 2000 hits means to me, is just being able to go out there every day and grind and compete every single day. So, hopefully, we can get a lot more hits together.” He also spoke about his likeness for being back in Southern California and playing in front of his family.
