Freddie Freeman truly put on a show during the Fall Classic. He hit 12 RBIs, which included four home runs for LA. Plus, he took the coveted MVP award, which had Shohei Ohtani or Aaron Judge written all over it. Through thick and thin he has played- a bad ankle, a broken ribcage, and even the emotional toll he faced because of his son and his auto-immune condition. Freeman has always followed his father’s mantra of always showing up. Hence, he made it and got the rings! Is he Freeman or Ironman?
Well, Freddie’s gameplay, of course, didn’t go unnoticed. He got plenty of appreciation for his game from friends and family, as well as the stalwarts of the sporting community. Among them is a legend of the NBA and his fellow LA icon LeBron James. However, there was a major mistake in the way LeBron congratulated the Dodgers first baseman. He got Freeman’s name wrong, and Freddie didn’t hold back from pointing it out.

LeBron, who often goes to watch baseball, especially supporting the LA team, couldn’t hold his excitement after Freeman’s gameplay in game 4 of the WS. Freddie Freeman had launched a first-inning home run against the New York Yankees, and the NBA legend took to X and said, “Freddy Freeman, we are not worthy.” However, he made a mistake; he misspelled Freeman’s name. Freeman talked about it in the New Height podcast.

Freeman humorously pointed out the “y” and “ie” confusion that LeBron seemed to be a victim of. Freeman said he is rather particular about his spelling. “I just want it spelled right, you know?” Freddie Freeman said. However, the LA Dodger star did point out that LeBron did make the change the next time and put an “ie” on it since plenty of people started correcting him. LeBron, being the sport he is, offered an apology too. “FREDDIE! My bad man! You were the boogie man out there, so I just thought like Mr. Kruger!” LeBron twitted. But yes, Freeman takes pride in how his name is spelled!

Freddie Freeman visits the Crypto.com arena
Well, a spelling error of not receiving a shout-out from a sports legend like LeBron James can make anyone’s day. And Freddie Freeman didn’t hold back from talking about how much he values LeBron’s gestures. “LeBron’s come to a couple of games, you know, throughout the course of the regular season. Um, so it’s pretty cool. I mean, as athletes, you just respect everybody, and LeBron is the greatest basketball player of all time, so it’s kind of… it’s pretty cool, man.” Freeman added that the feeling was special; it shows that he did something good to warrant that. Well, says the MVP!
Recently, along with his teammate Mookie Betts, who we bet got his time off bowling, and Brusdar Graterol, Jack Flaherty, and Chris Taylor, Freeman was at the Cryto.com Arena. There he was treated like the hero he is, even though it was the game between the Lakers and the 79ers. The World Series champs were called to present the commissioner trophy, and the crowd was super welcoming. But the special add-on or moment was—LeBron meeting Freddie and his son.
