High School is a pivotal time for most baseball players, with many of them developing rapidly during that time. Furthermore, many of baseball’s biggest stars have been drafted straight out of high school. This was the case with Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman. He graduated from El Modena High School and was drafted in the second round of the 2007 MLB Draft before making his big league debut for the Atlanta Braves.

He even forewent a college scholarship to sign his first professional contract. Most recently, Freeman and his wife Chelsea gave back to his High School with a special $500,000 donation for a noble cause.
