MLB players have to play according to a grueling schedule year after year. Many undergo intense training to stay in shape and deal with the demands of such a season. Alex Rodriguez shared his thoughts on the intense schedule. While appearing on the Club30 podcast, he said that he wouldn’t be able to go back and do it again.
During the podcast, Rodriguez said, “I mean, look, people think I’m busy now. I had navy seal training. Like, to play 200 games in 230 days, and those 30 days are not off, like 15 of those you’re flying cross-country, landing in a city 4,5,6 o’clock in the morning, and playing that same day. So, that type of training, to do that for 25 years, it’s, it’s unheard of. And knowing what I know now, I don’t think I can do it; you know? If I had to go back.”

Derek Jeter has mentioned the rough MLB schedule multiple times
Alex Rodriguez’s former teammate and fellow Baseball legend Derek Jeter has mentioned MLB’s grueling schedule multiple times. In fact, he said it is one of the main reasons that he will never take up a manager’s position. He didn’t complain about the schedule and only mentioned that it was tough. This is a very similar outlook to that of his former teammate in Rodriguez.
