It’s a big occasion for the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have made it to the finale after decades of absence. Today holds significance for baseball enthusiasts and calls for something extraordinary. Former president George W. Bush did the same with his appearance on the pitch. Fox Sports focused on the same and shared a post that read, Former President George W. Bush throws out the ceremonial first pitch at Game 1 of the #WorldSeries”.

Interestingly, it marked the start of an engaging contest that saw the home side win a game with a walk-off home run completing a comeback. The former president, who wore the Texas Rangers jersey, would be pleased with a win that gives the team he supported a 1-0 lead in the seven-game series.

A Comeback Win for the Texas Rangers Against the Arizona Diamondbacks

The end of the contest matched with the start with an inspiring comeback from the Rangers. Notably, it happened after the D-Backs looked set to win the game at the end of the ninth with a two-run lead. But a home run from the star Corey Seager changed the situation, leveling it up to take it to the tenth.

Though it was not over for Arizona, the post-season hero, Adolis Garcia, had another idea. He hit a homer for a walk-off win with a score of 6-5 after J. Leclerc stopped the D-Backs offense for a perfect start for the Rangers. With this, Garcia has eight home runs this postseason and is looking strong to finish it off on a high.
